2024 Tournament Details


Early-Bird Registration by February 15th $199

With Lago Mar's help and our own fundraising efforts, we are able to hold our pricing again this year, for over 6 years.

Early-Bird Entry Fee is $199 until midnight February 15th. Registration must be completed by midnight on February 15th. We cannot make exceptions so register early! Standard Entry Fee is $229 after February 15th.

Payments. Players may make payments this year with no processing fees using Personal Check (Paper or Electronic). We also accept PayPal and Credit/Debit card payments, Zelle and Venmo but because of high fees charged by these companies, there will be a processing fee added of $6 to these transactions.  

Late Entries and Cancellations

We have a flexible and fair cancellation policy for full refunds (less credit card fees) before April 28th. However, after April 28th no refunds can be issued and no exceptions can be made. Late entries will be on a space available basis. 

Tournament Format

Two-day individual stroke play in championship, handicap and senior flights. Optional team divisions return to the Broward Am this year, and optional gross and net skins game.

What's Included?

Player Entry Fee includes two days golf and cart fees, practice range, bag storage and reduced cost practice rounds. Also includes player tee gifts and awards. Cocktail party follows golf on Sunday, and Awards Lunch follows golf on Monday.

Schedule of Events

Sunday, May 5th, 1:00pm Shotgun. Cocktail party with light appetizers following golf. Food and drink also available for purchase. Our auction items will be on display prior to final bidding.

Monday, May 6th, 8:30am Shotgun. Please join us for the Awards lunch banquet included with cash bar. Celebrate our winners and crown the 2024 Broward Amateur Champions!

Handicap Requirements

BCWA supports all skill levels of competitors.  Therefore, we do not have a minimum or maximum handicap cap. We conform to USGA handicap limits. This is a high-level competitive event, and all players are expected to have a reasonable knowledge of the Rules of Golf, stroke play etiquette and most importantly, players must be able to play on pace.

Championship Flight

Handicap index of 8.9 and less. Yardage 5.700. Champion, Net Champion and Senior Champion for players 65 years of age and over, The lowest two-day total gross score, regardless of age, will be declared our Broward County Women’s Amateur Champion for 2023. Caddies are allowed in Championship flight and may ride in the golf cart with their player.

Handicap Flights

Handicaps of 9.0 and higher. Yardage 5,100 to 5,200. Flight Champion, Net Flight Champion and Senior Champion 65 and over will be awarded. Low gross and low net awards in all flights. 10 maximum score on any hole.

Team Division -  Optional

Gross and Net Team winners. Best 4 scores of a 5 person team. Each team will have one person designated as "Captain" who will organize and name their team.  The Captain will be solely responsible for their team's player roster and communicating with our tournament committee.

Skins Game ~ Optional

Net Skins for both days is $30. Gross skins for both days is $30. Enter both net and gross for both days $50. Includes donation to the Broward Amateur fundraiser of $5 each division.

Request Your Cart Partner and Foursome

As an option, players can request their cart partner and/or foursome on day one. Championship players may play with Flight Players on day one. Sign up with a friend for more fun!  Second day pairings are arranged in scoring order by flights.

Posting Scores Requirement

We require a minimum of the equivalent of two 18-hole scores be posted in 2023.  Handicap cutoff date will be March 27, 2022. Tournament scores will be posted as "Competition Scores" on the player's GHIN. 

Guest Policy

Guest spectators  will be allowed provided they understand and follow policy rules.  Guests must be able to walk, always staying on cart paths. Golf carts are in short supply and are needed for players and committee so no golf carts will be available for guests with no exceptions. Guests must not speak with or distract players in any way. Guests are invited to attend Cocktail Party and Awards Lunch. Cost is $40 each day.
